The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program is delaying the introduction of changes to its nomination streams that were planned for January.

The Canadian province of British Columbia has issued 290 invitations to apply for provincial nomination in two draws that took place Dec. 6 and 13.

A total of 254 skilled workers were invited on Dec.13 through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream and Skilled Worker Overseas Stream under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

In the Dec. 6. Express Entry draw, a total of 2,750 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 452 were invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Romanian and Bulgarian citizens no longer need a Temporary Resident Visa to travel to Canada, as of 9 a.m. on December 1, 2017.

The Government of British Columbia continues to invite workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs at low points thresholds in the most recent draws conducted on November 22 and November 29.

A total of 272 skilled workers were invited through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in a draw that took place on November 23. In this draw, workers were invited through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams.

The Government of Canada has updated its list of countries for which an immigration medical examination is required in order to apply for a temporary resident visa.

British Columbia continues to invite more workers and international graduates at low points thresholds in the latest draws on November 8 and November 15.

In the latest federal Express Entry draw, which took place on November 15, a total of 2,750 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 439 were invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence. This is the fourth Express Entry draw to take place in the month of November since Canada's Multi-Year Immigration Plan was announced by the federal government on November 1.
