The city of Montreal will receive $4.5 million over three years from the Quebec provincial government to fund programs to help immigrants find employment and learn about Quebec culture. Nova Scotia Immigration Minister Ramona Jannex said on Tuesday that the province aims to double the number of immigrants that settle in Nova Scotia. She said she hopes to have a new strategy ready by spring to achieve this goal.
